Marziya Shakir turned 6 months on 24May 2008.
The one place that excites and fascinates is the corridor that leads to our kitchen.
Her goodies are my jewellery collection hanging on the wall, the rest are in 3 drawers in the camera cupboard.
That she reads the papers in the morning , by tearing it to shreds , is something to do with a bloggers genes.
However she loves the Hindustan Times more than the Mumbai Mirror....
Midday at our house has been shown the door more advertisements less content.. if it came as a supplementary to the Hindustan Times we might give it a second thought..
The next on her agenda is the computer mouse and the Nikon D80,,,
She plays with her squeaky toys all by herself.
The walker is her aid to her legs that take her from our living room straight to the kitchen..
She would make a brilliant swimmer , she wades on land, but Bandra does not have a swimming pool like the one at Andheri Sports Complex.
I bought her a pram when she was two months , and it was just the other day she went for a stroll in it at Patwardhan Park with her her mom and my wife.
She Marziya Shakir is a rare collectors item.
There are days I dont shoot her at all.

This is Marziya Shakirs day out at my shop, she does not understand the junk in my shop, luckily I sold out my old camera collection to a friend for peanuts, simply because I could not take care of it and it was occupying unecessary space at my shop..which is rented premises..

Marziya loves her Dad , who plays all sorts of games with her , making her fly all over the place like an aeroplane, she loves being thrown in the air, a thought that frightens me, but her Mom and her Dad do it carefully ..
Another thing Marziya loves is to turn her entire body and raise her head and arms, a picture I tried to take but forgot .
She does it without any effort, and I am learning from the lessons of her infancy.
She loves her Mom when her Dad is not around, but as soon as her Dad enters the room she starts panning him with her camera like eyes..
I bought her the Kangaroo carrier bag knowing that she loves to be towed around.
On Saturday she came to my shop for the first time looking it up and down, and later when we took the rickshah she kept looking at the traffic and the flickering neon lights of the passing shops.
One thing I am certain she will be one hell of a photographer ..an undeniable genetic fact..and she is a poem too..

My son Asif Shakir and his family are devout Shias.
Shias dont take kindly to singing or Music.
I am ambivalent and I think a child is beyond such taboos or restrictions..

Marziya Shakir our first grandchild turns two months today.
She was born on Nov 24th 2007.
This evening dressed in her black hijab she has gone with her mother and her grandmother, my wife for two majlis at Yari Road.
She will return at 10 pm.
This is the turning point in a Shia childs life, dont be surprised if you see them spontaneously beating their tiny chests , this is the first sign of recognition of a Shia Child..
Marziya loves the camera, and gives me the most endearing poses.
Here my neighbor Ppc has added a magical quality , that says grapes are not sour if they are within your fates grasp..
